Located on top of a small hill with a view of distant fields, the Institute is surrounded by flowers and fruit trees and is only 10 minutes by bus from Alajuela (10 miles west of San José, the capital of Costa Rica). With a population of around 100,000 and average temperatures of 74-80 degrees Fahrenheit, Alajuela offers the language traveler the relaxing environment of a small city and easy access to San José.

I have been to the school several times at the old location and the new and can say it is the best language school I have ever attended. The staff is excellent, friendly, and very helpful. The location is breathtaking. It is because of this school that I speak Spanish with comfort!

What better way to learn Spanish then living in Costa Rica?! The people there are so friendly and make you feel right at home. Its a gorgeous country with perfect weather, and you will be speaking spanish in no time! The institute has a great staff of teachers and it also has amazing tours to go on!

I have sent students independently and led student groups to study at ICLC for many years. The school directors, Ronny Garcia and Sonia Rojas are top notch professionals. I can always count on the highest quality instruction and student support including placement with Costa Rican families. Their program is Pura Vida! I recommend ICLC to everyone.
