Harvested in Costa Rica, Cafe Hacienda Real is one of the few coffees in the world that is grown, picked, processed, roasted and packaged all at origin.

We control the process and the quality from beginning to end, and only roast our top quality beans. By owning the farms, the mill and the roasting facilities, we are able to care for and control our coffee from ripe cherry on a tree to the roasted bean packaged in our bag.

I was very impressed by this tour as a whole! Turrialba is very green and very beautiful! I would have never guessed that it took so much effort to produce a cup of coffee! WOW! Our guide was great, the tour was interesting and the coffee was the best I have had EVER! (Sorry Starbucks!)

I enjoyed the coffee tour so much the first time I went that I have been back two more times. I was teaching wheel thrown pottery classes on the Princess Cruise ships and encouraged many of my students and other passengers to make the visit. I only heard fantastic compliments from all who went. The family that owns the Coffee operation is great. They make you feel like part of the family and they have some of the best coffee that I have every tasted (try the peaberry). I am putting together a mail order, as I won't be able to visit this year....... I will miss seeing them.
