The Gallo Pinto is a traditional dish of Costa Rica. It consists of a dish prepared with the mixture of rice and beans. The story of this typical dish from the Caribbean islands after they were brought in African slaves. Although it is not very clear about the origin of the Gallo Pinto, one can say that has a long history and a culture founded on especially Tica. It is not unusual to get any of Gallo Pinto times meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and is one of the cheapest meals and easy to do.
Thanks to the increasing group of foreign people leaving in the country, many types of foods can be found. The culinary choices go from Indian food to Italian, NorthAmerican, French, and Spanish to Asian and Mediterranean foods.
